Hear from nurse researchers about the impact of racism in nursing, and why they chose to research the subject.
This event is a launch of important new book exploring the impact of racism, from experiences of microaggression to discrimination and structural and institutionalised racism.You will hear about the work of doctoral researchers and practitioners who chose to address and investigate the racism they have experienced, witnessed or observed in the UK’s National Health Service and Universities. Speakers will discuss their personal reflections on their findings, framed by a discussion of policy and research on racism.
Doors open at 5.30pm for a chance to meet the authors and explore the book in a relaxed atmosphere in the RCN Library and the talk starts at 6pm.
