There is plenty in store this summer at the iconic Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to beautiful riverside grounds, impressive architecture, incredible history and events for everyone to enjoy. A Summer Big Screen will show the best of world sports including Wimbledon and the Olympics as well as a free pop-up cinema, prepare to set sail with The Golden Age of Piracy, and Horrible Histories will bring Rotten Royals to life for families in August. The Summer Big Screen will be serving up live coverage of Wimbledon (1st – 12th July), bringing quality tennis action to the lawns of the Old Royal Naval College. There will be movie magic with a free outdoor cinema on The Village Screen (17th – 25th July), with a wide array of classic and independent films for everyone to enjoy. To top things off the Summer Big Screen will show the best of the world’s athletes, airing the Olympics straight from Paris to the London riverside (26th July – 11th August). Set sail on a family-friendly voyage with The Golden Age of Piracy (27th & 28th July). Kick off the school holidays with this swashbuckling adventure, including a sword demonstration, live 18th century music, pirate-y food tastings and demonstrations.
