Availability: Weekend dates around once a month throughout the year. Weather: Duration: After registering and being allocated a bungee time slot; you can reasonably expect to jump within an hour. Safety checks, briefing and harnessing take a few minutes. The jump lasts just a few heart-stopping seconds. Numbers On Day: Spectators: Bring as many spectators as you like - get them to bring along a camera or video. Dress Code: Wear long trousers rather than a skirt (you'll be upside down!). Glasses and hard contact lenses must be removed prior to jumping. The venue isn't heated so dress up warmly (especially in winter). Guidelines: If travelling from the South take junction 33 of M1 following sign for Meadowhall Shopping Centre. If travelling from the North take junction 34. Magna is signposted and approximately one mile from Meadowhall Shopping Centre and there is free parking for up to 500 cars. The bungee jump takes place within the Magna Science Adventure Centre. Restrictions: Min age 14. Under 16's need a parent/guardian's signature. Max weight is 120 kg (18.9 st), waist size 40 cm - 125 cm. Over 50's must produce a doc's certificate. MUST be in good health and inform of any medical conditions beforehand. Other Info: Conditions that prohibit jumping include: high blood pressure, any heart condition, dizziness/epilepsy, pregnancy, asthma, any neurological condition and diabetes.

After thorough safety checks, get helped into the bungee harness before taking bold steps to the edge of the platform. After a leap of faith, plummet swiftly towards the ground, before the rope reaches its limit and thrusts you back towards the rafters. After a few more bounces, get carefully lowered back to the ground. If you wish to take home a memento, merchandise and photos of the jump are available to buy.
