As out of control as rock n’ roll was in the late 80’s, few artists could top the levels of debauchery and excess achieved by England’s own Dogs D’AmourLed by singer, guitarist, songwriter and poet Tyla JPallas, the group’s albums became cult favourites in their homeland and beyondOriginally formed by Tyla in London in 1983, he has been joined by various line-ups over the yearsThe Dogs are regarded as one of the best underground rock bands of their time with their bluesy, heartfelt, sing-along anthems and ramshackle styleWith something exceptional to the norm, they did not go unnoticed, appearing on Top of The Pops and MTV and gracing the covers of Kerrang, RAW, and Sounds magazinesThey toured the world successfully several times, creating a cult like following in the UK, Europe and Japan and released four Top 40 albums with 1989’s ‘A Graveyard of Empty Bottles’ reaching #16 on the UK chart, while their single ‘Satellite Kid’ reached #26
