For knitters and stitchers keen to learn new skills, the Learning Curve programme features hundreds of workshops hosted by expert tutors. From complete beginners to intermediate and advanced stitchers, there’s something for everyone. The Dressmaking Studio by Brother is dedicated to making your own clothes, from an introduction to basic dressmaking to a masterclass in classic couture finishes, and for visitors keen to learn how to use an overlocker, join The Knitting & Stitching Show’s Baby Lock Overlocker Classes. In the Creative Living Theatre, knitting and sewing personalities will be demonstrating new techniques and hosting catwalk shows. Last year’s line-up includes the lines of Steffi Stern from The Makerss, Angela Pressley from The Sewing Club, and Clive Bruder from Boys Sew Too. 2024’s line-up will be announced shortly.Acclaimed textile artists and groups will be sharing new work in the Textile Galleries, with exhibitions by Caitlin Hinshelwood, Cas Holmes, Harriet Riddell, Holly Searle and many more.
