Yamaha Music London have teamed up with MGoozer, UK singer/songwriter performing in-store for one of the exciting live Soho Session
Yamaha Music London have teamed up with MGoozer, UK singer/songwriter performing in-store for one of the exciting live Soho Sessions, on Thursday 15 June at 6pm. The session will be broadcast globally as a live webcast, but Yamaha Music London will open their doors, offering fans and the public the chance to watch McGoozer perform the session for FREE. Details of the event will be published soon at: http://www.yamahamusiclondon.comWith his debut single notching-up over 150k Facebook hits within the first hour of release earlier this year, McGoozer has proven that he’s a UK singer/songwriter with a following that’s as mighty as his voice. Now, McGoozer packs an even bigger musical punch as he announces the release of his debut EP ‘Falling Out Of Love’ on 2 June. Added to this, his spectacular vocals on his debut single ‘One & Only Girl’ caught the attention of brand bosses at Yamaha Music London who hand-picked McGoozer to be one of their elite live artists to perform at their pioneering Soho Sessions Live during the summer of this year. With a selection of trans-Atlantic live dates soon to be announced and a debut album set for the autumn, McGoozer is forcefuly stamping an indelible mark on the global music scene.
Unless you’ve been on planet Mars, McGoozer is a voice that you’ll have heard a thousand times before. You might recognise his vocals from the McDonald’s I’m Lovin’ It ad campaign, or from the opening credits of the web series for People Magazine called ‘American Doers’ who snapped-up the song for their opening credits. He also toured relentlessly with The Blues Brothers and Mike & the Mechanics, which included being the opening act for Phil Collins on his world tour. So if you think his voice sounds familiar, it’s because he’s been singing to you anonymously for years. Now he steps into the limelight as himself – welcome McGoozer.
A mini collection of three original classic McGoozer-style tracks, the debut EP ‘Falling Out Of Love’, is an exhilarating slice of undeniably foot-tapping pop-based songs, delivering the outstanding vocals of McGoozer in a perfectly packaged trio of melodies. The title track from the debut EP, ‘Falling Out Of Love’ is a celebration of the new beginnings that spring forth when an old love fades away and how a new layer of your life suddenly unfolds – it’s all about the creation of a new beginning. Track 2, ‘Live Forever’ is equally as powerful, punchy and poignant; McGoozer never fails to stamp his indelible mark of positivity on everything he creates. But if it’s heart-wrenching melodies that you’re after, ‘No Prize For Second Place’ is the track that you’ll jam into ‘repeat’ as McGoozer serves up what could potentially be a classic love song for years to come.
Glaswegian, Paul McGee (aka McGoo), grew up surrounded by musicians, so it was no surprise when the teenager’s first musical job took him around the world to tour with ‘The Official Tribute To The Blues Brothers’, which ran for over 3 years. McGoo also recorded and toured with Mike and the Mechanics, singing on their studio album ‘Rewired’, performing to festivals and stadiums of over 70 thousand people at a time, including being the opening act for Phil Collins’ world tour.
In late 2015, McGoo signed a management deal with Shipwright Productions, headed by Steve Shippee, previously the CEO of Broadway Video, the production company responsible for the iconic American comedy show Saturday Night Live. McGoo’s wonderful nomadic lifestyle had exposed him to a world of influences and the new batch of material which he brought to his management deal proved him to be a diverse and exciting musical asset. McGoo has also been writing with a catalogue of high profile songwriters and producers, all of whom have contributed to the forthcoming album, released Autumn 2017.
The music of McGoozer is immediately relatable and speaks from the heart and for the heart. Creating positive music about universal experiences, filled with astonishing soaring vocals and beautiful melodies. McGoozer’s voice will make your soul smile. Enjoy!
The debut EP ‘Falling Out Of Love’ will be released on 2 June on Right Track Records
