A few days in the company of Michael Messer and Chaz Jankel, learning from them and sharing their very personal approach to writing, arranging and playing, will be a a special time for all involved
The workshops will take place Thursday 23rd January with arrival from 3:00pm, reception dinner at 6:30pm and an evening session, followed by Friday 24th and Saturday 25th, and check-out by 10.30am on Sunday 26th

Chaz Jankel came to prominence in the 1970s as the co-writer and arranger of Ian Dury and The Blockheads albums, "New Boots and Panties" and "Do It Yourself" The arrangements fused Dury's lyrics with Chaz's love of American soul and funk, creating stone cold classics "Sex and Drugs and Rock and Roll", Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick" and "Reasons To Be Cheerful Part 3", to name a fewWith these albums Ian Dury and The Blockheads carved themselves a place in music historyChaz Jankel went on to sign a four album deal with A and M Records in the US that spawned a number one dance hit with "Glad To Know You" and "3,000,000 Synths"In 1981 Quincy Jones recorded Chaz Jankel's song "Ai No Corrida" which became a number one singleChaz has written scores for several films including D.O.Aand his unique talent has put him alongside some of the great musicians and writers of our timeChaz Jankel has released ten solo albums and written numerous songs
