Founded by visionary DJ and pioneer, Troi Lee, also known as DJ Chinaman, Deaf Rave has spent the last two decades breaking barriers and creating opportunities for Deaf artists. This dynamic London-based collective brings together the incredible talents of Deaf DJs, performers, and creatives, offering a platform where artistry is expressed and communicated through British Sign Language (BSL). Deaf Raves mission is to ensure that every supporter feels welcomed and included, fostering a sense of unity and pride within the Deaf community.
Their innovative use of new technology, such as the Woojer vibration backpack, creates a sensory experience like no other and following the success of their 20-year anniversary festival in 2023, this years event will feature many new and upcoming young Deaf artists and performers. This is their legacy of inclusivity and diversity.

Deaf Rave’s Mission and Impact Supported by Arts Council England, Deaf Rave is a National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) dedicated to empowering the Deaf community as a movement that shines a spotlight on the incredible talents within Deaf Communities. Beyond festivals, Deaf Rave extends its impact through workshops in DJing, Event Management, VJing, and BSL, with their DJ workshops now reaching Deaf children in schools.
