Pink Floyd Fans 'Comfortably Numb'

Fans at Roger Water's The Wall concert last night had a surprise when he was joined on stage by former Pink Floyd band member Dave Gilmore.

Half way through his performance of Comfortably Numb, Roger Waters' was joined by former Pink Floyd band member Dave Gilmore.

Roger Waters who is touring with his The Wall Live, and is in the middle of six dates at the O2 Arena in London surprised fans when Dave Gilmore appeared above him taking over the vocals for Comfortably Numb.

This is the first time since 2005 the pair have appeared together live on stage, the last time was at the Live 8 concert in London six years ago.

Former Pink Floyd front man, Waters, ended up legally owning The Wall name, when they split after completing their final album, The Final Cut in 1983. Dave Gilmore and Nick Mason received the Band name Pink Floyd and went on to rake in $30 million in 1987 with their tour A Momentary Lapse Of Reason.

The roots of the break up run deep, and It became very clear that Dave Gilmore and Roger Waters could no longer work together during their time on the album The Wall, Gilmore saw the band producing great music, whereas Waters wanted to use the band for his own political lyrics and ideas.

The final surprise for everyone in the O2 last night was when Nick Mason who had been in the audience with his wife, was bought up on stage. And there stood, live on stage at the O2 Arena the last three remaining members of the awesome prog rock band, Pink Floyd.
