Singer George Michael has pulled out of a show at the Royal Albert Hall in London following strict advice from doctors.
The 48 year old is understood to be suffering from a viral infection, a fever and is currently too ill to perform but hopes to reschedule the show for a future date. George is said to be very disappointed not to be performing at such a prestigious venue this week but has accepted the need to rest and recover fully before he continues his 'Symphonica' tour.
The UK leg of the tour kicked off on Tuesday backed by a 41 piece orchestra and among the famous faces to have enjoyed the show so far was former Spice Girl and good friend of George Michael, Geri Halliwell. During the show he performed cover versions including 'Love is a Losing Game' by Amy Winehouse and many of his own hits such as 'Praying for Time' and Wham's 'I'm Your Man'
Michael started the 47-date tour in Prague in August and is due to move to Europe before returning to the UK in late November for gigs in cities including Cardiff, Liverpool and Glasgow.
