Mr Bean crashes in McClaren F1 GTR NEWS
Actor Rowan Atkinson is injured after he crashed his supercar last night.
Rowan Atkinson came close to death yesterday when he crashed his McClaren F1 supercar on the A605 in Cambridgeshire.
The 56 year old actor, who owns a number of vintage and classic cars, is today very lucky to be alive after he lost control in his F1 GTR.
The car is believed to have spun around several times hitting a tree then a lamppost and finally resting on the side of the road before bursting into flames.
After the Black Adder star managed to get himself out of the car, The Telegraph reported that another motorist had looked after him until the emergency services arrived on the A605, near Haddon Cambridgeshire.
Firefighters put out the vehicle and Rowan, who was visibly shaken by his ordeal, was taken to a nearby hospital where he is said to be suffering from a minor shoulder injury.
This is the second time he has been involved in a crash with the supercar, which was bought to celebrate the success of the Mr Bean film.
The car, which has a top speed of 230 mph and is worth over £650,000, was wrecked after a collision with a Metro in 1999, both the driver of the metro and Rowan Atkinson were unhurt in the accident.
Car enthusiast Rowan has previously appeared on Top Gear where he became the fastest star in a reasonably priced car. Ironically this Top Gear episode was being repeated on the television station Dave around the same time as the accident last night.
