London Zoo's baby attraction NEWS
A baby Langur, one of the world's rarest monkey breeds has been born at London Zoo, melting the hearts of the popular attraction's visitors.
He's the best looking ginger monkey you've ever seen! 'Tango' the rare baby Francois Langur has emerged this week to melt the hearts of all zoo visitors.
This specific breed of Langur is one of the world's rarest monkey breeds so staff at the zoo are thrilled that they have a new addition to their monkey family.
The Orange primate was born on September first but has been kept largely shielded from the public by protective first time mother Lu Lu and Father Neo. Both parents have thick black fur, as do all adult Francois Langurs, quite a contrast to the bright orange baby but then, they won't lose him easily in a crowd!
Keepers at the zoo have not yet discovered the sex of baby Tango but they have advised that the orange fur will actually have disappeared by about 6 months old to be replaced by the darker fur.
The species originates from Vietnam and China where their natural habitat has declined to the extent that they are now officially critically endangered.
