Kate Middleton attends a local antiques fair NEWS
The Duchess of Cambridge attends a local antiques fair in North Wales and proves that she's thrifty by haggling with a stall holder over a pair of tasteful Imari vases that she knew would look perfect in her Anglesey home.
Owner of Ludlow based Continuity Fairs, Nick Bayliss told Daily Beast that he was delighted when Kate Middleton turned up at an antiques fair, near her home in Anglesey.
Nick Bayliss said: 'We had sent out complimentary tickets to Prince William and the Duchess for our May fair and again in October, and to my absolute delight in she comes with her party on the Sunday morning and had her hand stamped with the green dragon by my daughter, who didn't recognise her.'
The Duchess who recently attended the fair in North Wales has a keen eye for design and made her way over to a stall she noticed was selling a pair of Imari vases.
The vases were priced at £180, but the Duchess told the stall holder that she thought that £160 was a fairer price, the stall holder agreed, a deal was struck and Kate walked off very happy with her bargain.
According to Showbiz Spy, It's not just her Anglesey home that the Duchess has put her mark on. Kate loves to make Kensington Palace more comfortable by adding personal touches with items that she has bought on her world travels.
A source told Showbiz Spy: 'Kate is keen to put her stamp on the place with things she's bought on her travels. She feels certain pieces would be nice when they have a bigger home.'
Showbiz Spy also said that the royal source told them the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are keen to move from their cottage in Anglesey back to London.
This move is thought to be because the royal couple will get better security for when they start a family.
The source said:#quote#A baby is the main reason for the move. They want to bring up a child in a secure environment and the level of protection at their Anglesey cottage just isn't enough.#/quote#
The couple are said to want to share their news of pregnancy after the first trimester, which has been rumoured to be before Christmas.
