Lets Race, the UK’s only full motion F1 simulation centre, is delighted to announce that on Saturday 26th April Formula One’s Max Chilton and his brother, World Touring Car driver, Tom Chilton, will be making a special appearance at the centre to meet with racing enthusiasts.
Lets Race, the UKs only full motion F1 simulation centre, is delighted to announce that on Saturday 26th April Formula Ones Max Chilton and his brother, World Touring Car driver, Tom Chilton, will be making a special appearance at the centre to meet with racing enthusiasts.In celebration of Lets Races competition, Lets Race 2 Reality, of which round one ends next week (30th April), both Max and Tom will be at the centre on Brighton Road in Horley, Surrey from 9am to 11am. During the morning the brothers will not only be showcasing their driving skills on the simulators but will also be on hand to give budding enthusiasts top tips and advice on how they can improve their racing technique and lap times.For this event only, the centre will open its doors at 7am for anyone interested in taking part in a qualifying session for the Lets Race 2 Reality competition, which offers one lucky driver the chance to win a test experience in a Carlin F3 car. During the morning the centre is offering free coffee and croissants for participants to ensure that everyone is performing at their full potential!Rupert Swallow, Managing Director of Lets Race, commented: We are thrilled that Max and Tom are able to join us this weekend. It will give everyone a chance to learn from two of the worlds top racing drivers, whether they are qualifying for Lets Race to Reality or not. I look forward to welcoming everyone on Saturday morning and would encourage anyone interested in motorsport to enter our competition, as they really might be the next big thing in racing but simply dont know it yet!With over 250 entries for the Lets Race 2 Reality competition so far, things are really hotting up; there is only one week left for people to set their fastest lap times. The top 10% of drivers from round one will be invited to put their skills to the test at a special karting event at Buckmore Park on Friday 23rd May. Five finalists will then be selected following the race at Buckmore Park and will be put through their paces at Carlins headquarters in Surrey, allowing participants a real life glimpse into the world of a professional racing driver. Finalists will take part in various activities including a simulator session with a Carlin race engineer, before taking part in an interview process with racing industry professionals, including former Formula 1 and motorbike champion John Surtees, OBE. The winner of Lets Race to Reality 2014 will receive a days testing in a Carlin Formula 3 car, supported by a dedicated team of mechanics, data engineer and race engineer.
