Comedian Rhod Gilbert dropped by BBC NEWS
The BBC comedy panel show Ask Rhod Gilbert has been axed by the channel. But the comedian is unfazed by the decision and is even thinking of giving up on his comedy career and becoming a primary school teacher.
Stand-up comedian Rhod Gilbert has confirmed that the BBC have dropped his comedy panel show Ask Rhod Gilbert.
The show which also featured Greg Davies and Lloyd Langford has been dropped by the channel following its second series in 2011.
Unfazed by the BBC's decision, Rhod said:#quote#They've canned Ask Rhod Gilbert. I think panel shows are hard and some of them are brutal experiences. It's not me, I don't write topical stuff, I don't especially like the environment.#/quote#
The welsh comic confirmed the news when he spoke about his TV show Rhod Gilbert's Work Experience.
The comic said that following the experience of learning to teach for the show he had fallen in love with the idea and is contemplating a change of career.
He said: 'I just fell in love with it (teaching), to the point where I thought maybe there's a career change coming.'
