Birmingham's LG & NIA Arenas open as usual NEWS
The NEC group have confirmed that the two performances of Strictly come dancing at the NIA and Madagascar Live! at the LG arena in Birmingham will be going ahead as planned, the advise is to check before you trek!
The NEC Group have confirmed that they have been speaking to the promoters and all other venues in the city and have decided that Strictly Come Dancing at the NIA and Madagascar Live! at the LG arena tonight WILL go ahead as planned.
For those people who have tickets for Strictly Come Dancing and are unable to travel due to adverse weather conditions, the venue have a limited number of tickets available for the Sunday night 6.30 performance, and have confirmed that you will be able to transfer your tickets to this performance.
They have however, said that tickets are subject to availability and will not necessarily be like-for- like.
Anyone wishing to exchange their tickets have been asked to call The Ticket Factory on 0844 338 0338 who will then allocate tickets on a first come first served basis. Customers must bring their original tickets to the box office on Sunday and exchange them for new ones. All other performances at the venue today will go ahead as planned, therefore the promoter will NOT refund tickets for people who don't attend.
The NEC Group have told BritEvents today that the performance of Madagascar Live! will also go ahead as planned.
For those who are unable to travel to this show tonight due to the weather conditions can also transfer tickets to other performances. Again this is subject to availability. People wishing to exchange their tickets should make there way to the box office in plenty of time and they will be allocated available tickets on a first come first served basis. It will not be possible to confirm seat numbers in advance of each performance for those customers wishing to transfer into them. The NEC have been speaking to the relevant authorities which include the Highways agency and Birmingham City Council, and will continue to do so throughout the day. The snow is due to stop later this afternoon, which should help to ease some of the surrounding areas and allow for relevant protection and gritting.
