Adele cancels US tour dates NEWS
The remaining dates in Adele's tour of North America have been cancelled after the record-breaking singer was diagnosed with laryngitis.
Record-breaking singer Adele has been forced to cancel the remaining tour dates of North America after contracting laryngitis.
This follows the postponement of another five shows of her sell-out tour after doctors diagnosed the throat illness a week ago.
Plans are underway to reschedule the tour dates, although doctors have told her that it was 'imperative' that she take several weeks to recover with 'absolute voice rest', according to Adele's website.
Commenting on her tour cancellation, she said she was 'really frustrated, however there is absolutely nothing I can do but take the doctor's advice and rest some more'. She added, 'I was hoping with a week's rest I'd be better to sing again straight away'.
Adele fans have been asked to keep their tickets and wait for further advice when the remaining shows have been rescheduled.
The London singer has enjoyed record-breaking success in 2011, having sold over 2m copies of her second album, called '21'.
