National Park Centre Outdoors
The redevelopment of Grassington National Park Centre, located in the main National Park car park near the busy village centre, was completed in early 1999. Interpretation displays have brought local industry, farming and tourism, both past and present, to life.
All of the National Park Authority's National Park Centres are also tourist information centres, networked with the English Tourism Council. They offer a wide range of services, these include a local and national accommodation booking service, sales of maps, books and souvenirs and information for visitors and locals. They even provide daily weather forecasts for the immediate area.
Our National Park Centres help us to promote opportunities for the understanding and enjoyment of the National Park by the general public. The staff working in the Centres have a wealth of knowledge and interesting information about the area.
