Follow the tiles around Killhope's woodland walk. Created by members of the public and local school children as part of the National Big Draw, this display of tiles, brings an extra dimension to the woodland walk
Killhope, winner of the Guardians Family Friendly Award 2004 is an accredited 'Quality Assured Visitor Attraction' where visitors can discover the lives of Lead Mining families. We also offer visitors a guided tour of Park Level mine, a real adventure. Equipped with hardhat, lamp and wellies you are guided down the original tunnel. On the surface, work as a washer boy and find your own lead ore. Have a look at our exhibitions for 2005. See the North of England's largest working water wheel.
