Whether you want a quiet gentle stroll or an exhilarating mountain biking experience, theres something for you at Haldon Forest Park. 3,500 acres of woodland just fifteen minutes from Exeter.Walking Trails for everyoneWe have a wide range of walking trails including the Discovery Trail, a multi-use, all-ability trail with traditional and natural play features, and the Sensory Trail at Mamhead has been specially designed to stimulate the senses of visitors of all abilities.* The Gruffalo Trail is a self-led trail that is set along the Discovery Trail. There are ten stops around the trail for you to find, with activities to do along the way. Pick up an optional Gruffalo trail leaflet for 2 for more activities (available from the Ranger's Office). * Amazing Bike TrailsThe Discovery and Challenge cycle trails help you gain confidence in off-road cycling and there is a technical trail designed for the more experienced mountain bikers.
