Abbey School Houses
Fragments of the abbey, built on an island in the Fens, include the richly carved late 15th-century gatehouse with its ornate oriel window. Built around 1475, the main gateway was destroyed in the 18th century during the construction of the road to Warboys.
The remaining turret is a fine example of late 15th century Perpendicular architecture, including richly carved panels, a plain two-light window lighting the ground floor and a two-light cinquefoiled oriel window.
