The Stour Gallery Art Galleries
The Stour Gallery is a cool, crisply white-painted series of spaces for showing contemporary art in the Warwickshire market town of Shipston-on-Stour, situated on the Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire borders.
The gallery is in its 9th year, successfully showing the work of artists, potters and sculptors with established reputations alongside emerging artists. There is a particular emphasis on Cornish and West Country work, especially from the Penwith and Newlyn Societies.
There are three floors providing space for showing some of the best contemporary art. The gallery's success is due to the uncompromising high standard of originality and craftsmanship in the work exhibited.
The gallery holds a series of changing exhibitions throughout the year; from the 6th May through June it is hosting an exhibition of new paintings and drawings from Jessica Cooper and new ceramics by Sam Hall.
